Kumo
The Experience
Ascend into a world above your own. Welcome to Kumo (雲) – a fully immersive, multi-sensory experience in which cloud bearers explore a dreamscape of digital, physical, and sensory installations and enter into an environment unlike any other. From the entrance to exit, Kumo captures the beauty of exploration, the fear of uncertainty, and the journey of life through an ethereal environment with endless interpretations. As they navigate through the alcoves, corners, and corridors of this lush cloudscape, they will discover the secret that lies within Kumo.
RabCup’s Role:
Kent and Cam of OkiDoki invited RabCup to collaborate on their immersive experience, Kumo. RabCup provided lighting, video projection and ambient low lying fog to accentuate the scenic and video design done by Team OkiDoki. In the entryway low lying fog was used to welcome travelers through the installation. Four projectors were used to project onto the clouds along with custom lighting design to create a magical experience.
